Edge Banding & Profile Wrapping
Edge Banding
Real wood edge banding is used to cover the exposed edges of veneered panels giving the panel the appearance of solid wood. Most veneers can be used for edge banding except for more fragile species such as burrs and some heavily figured veneers when veneers with a similar appearance are often used instead.
We supply edge banding in natural and Tabu veneers. Rolls come in different thicknesses and widths. Minimum order quantities apply to non-stock options. For more information on what we can offer, please contact our Sales team on 01823 666 175 or alternatively email service@mundyveneer.com where one of our veneer specialists will be more than happy to talk you through the possibilities.
Profile Wrapping
Profile wrapping is a solution to veneering areas of intricate detail and shape such as architraves, door frames and skirting, enabling these areas to tie in with the veneer being used across the rest of the project. The veneer is wrapped around the profile of the substrate, usually MDF and will give the appearance of a solid timber as shown below.
We supply veneer rolls for profile wrapping in many veneers across our natural and Tabu ranges. All orders are bespoke and a minimum order quantity will apply.
As some veneers do not technically lend themselves to this process, each project is unique we suggest that you call us to discuss your requirements with one of our specialists.
